Today, this incredible recognition arrived at my door. Irish Guide Dogs sent this trophy in recognition of our journey as puppy raisers for Scout.

Being vision impaired all my life, I first got acquainted with Irish Guide Dogs when I trained with my first Guide Dog Holly in 2003.

From when I left school in the late 80's, I wanted to be a Guide Dog trainer, but to study for this, you had to go to Northern Ireland or Scotland on a 4-year course

In January 2018, the ‘A’ litter included a puppy called Azzy, who made her way to us on 19th February that year. It was the start of almost a year of fun and frustration, delight and demands.

Hugh came into our lives on 1st November, 2021. We are a family of five with our own family pet Bailey.
