Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind (established in 1976) is a registered and trusted charity which provides life-changing services and supports to people who are vision impaired and to families of children with autism.
We fully comply with the legislation governing Irish charities and with the relevant regulatory frameworks.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind demonstrates openness, transparency and integrity to our beneficiaries and donors operating to the Charities Institute Ireland Triple Lock Standards - transparent reporting, good fundraising and governance. The Charities Governance Code (Charities Governance Code (charitiesregulator.ie), issued in late 2018 by the Charities Regulator, sets out the minimum standards expected of charities in effectively managing and controlling their organisation.
Good governance involves putting in place systems and processes to ensure that the charity achieves its charitable objectives with integrity and is managed in an effective, efficient, accountable and transparent way.
Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is committed to achieving the standards laid out in the Governance Code and will report on its compliance as required by the Charities Regulator.
