Puppy Raiser, Mags Armour

It is such a unique volunteering experience where, as a family of dog lovers, we gain as much as we give.

As a family we have been involved as Volunteers with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind since 2014. We have assisted with fundraising, puppy raising, temporary boarding and are currently brood stockholders. It is such a unique volunteering experience where, as a family of dog lovers, we gain as much as we give. We are grateful that we have our health and independence and hope that our involvement with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind may bestow that freedom of independence to another family or individual through the facilitation of a successful working dog partnership.

Mags is photographed with her family and their first litter in 2021 – the Y Litter. From the left: Sitting on the floor at the foot of a bed is Dervla holding Yayzu and Yarwen, Niamh holding Yaida and Yaxley, Mags holding Yanos and Yardley and Sive holding Yola and Yasper.
