How much does it cost to sponsor a dog?

It costs €53,000 to cover the lifetime costs of a dog, this would typically cover 2 years of training and then 8 years working life.

How much does it cost to train a dog?

To train the puppy from 6 weeks old up to 2 years, when the dog graduates, will cost €10,000.

Can we volunteer as a team with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind?

Yes, of course. Due to Covid restrictions at present, we can only accept offers of virtual volunteering. This might be assistance with virtual talks with our teams in the areas of management or project management for example. We hope to be able to offer volunteering opportunities at our headquarters in Cork in due course and also at our fundraising events that we run nationwide

Can we, as a company, offer our product our services to you in lieu of financial support?

Yes, absolutely. We are very fortunate that companies are in a position to donate product and goods to us which are invaluable to the organisation in saving costs and allowing us to redeploy financial resources.
