Our Employment Project team invites employers and managers to join a free, practical, CPD-accredited training session delivered by Deirdre O’Grady of AbilityWise, designed to build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to foster a more inclusive workplace for everyone.
Designed and delivered by members of the disabled community, this engaging session combines lived experience with practical management guidance to help employers turn learning into meaningful action.
Topics covered will include:
- Inclusive recruitment and onboarding
- Responding appropriately to disability disclosures
- Understanding reasonable accommodations
- Confidentiality and inclusive communication
- Supporting disabled and neurodivergent colleagues, including colleagues with vision loss
Through real-world workplace examples and discussion, participants will gain practical insights to help create an environment where colleagues feel supported, respected and empowered to thrive.
