Just like us, puppies need their fair share of breaks and playtime! One of the best ways to give them a little freedom is a free run—no harness, no jacket, just pure, tail-wagging fun in a safe, open space.
Free runs are more than just a blast for our puppies—they’re essential for their development! Letting them zoom around, sniff to their heart’s content, and explore the world helps burn off extra energy. And trust us, a well-exercised puppy is a much better listener when it’s time to focus. Without an outlet for their excitement, they might turn to some… less desirable activities (chewed-up shoes and non-stop barking!).
But it’s not just about physical exercise—free runs are also a great confidence booster. New scents, new places, and even meeting other dogs help build a puppy’s curiosity and problem-solving skills. A well-explored puppy is a happy puppy, and happy puppies grow into well-rounded, well-behaved dogs.
And let’s not forget the social side of things! Our puppies (and their puppy raisers!) love meeting up for playdates with other IGDB dogs, and the excitement is off the charts. Even after they graduate as Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs, or Community Dogs, free runs remain an important—and much-loved—part of their routine.
Because at the end of the day, a happy, relaxed dog makes for a happy, relaxed human, too!
