Could you offer a forever home to a retiring working dog?
Our dogs dedicate their lives to supporting their partners, helping to provide independence and freedom for many years. When they retire, we look for the very best forever homes where they can enjoy a happy, relaxed life surrounded by care and affection in their later years.
Dogs will generally be aged approximately 10 years old. We therefore are looking for interested parties whom we might contact should such dogs become available.
Please note the following important information before starting your application:
- Retired dogs can come from a range of breeds, including Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retriever / Labrador Crosses or German Shepherd / Golden Retriever Crosses
- These dogs vary in age and are often in their senior years. Some may have existing medical or health conditions, all of which will be fully disclosed at the time of rehoming.
- All ongoing costs, including food and any veterinary or medical expenses, will be the responsibility of the new owner.
- In some cases, the original client or organisation may request to receive occasional updates about the dog after rehoming.
- Please register your interest only if you are available and ready to rehome a dog immediately, should a suitable match become available.
- It is important to note, that once retired a working dog has no access rights and can only be cared for as a pet.
- Please be aware that rehoming is highly competitive. You are not guaranteed to be contacted regarding a retired dog, as we can only reach out to applicants who are the most suitable match for each individual dog.
If you are interested in potentially rehoming a retired working dog, please complete the application form below.
