Shirley

Shirley is an adorable seven-month-old labrador who needs a home where she is free to be exactly who she is and flourish! 

To do so, she needs a loving home in a rural area or in the countryside where someone is around most of the day, as she can struggle with separation anxiety. This special girl would greatly benefit from having another dog in the home who can keep her company and whom she can have lots of calming interactions with. This companion should be comfortable interacting with an excitable, teenage, large-breed dog. Shirley is not looking for a home where there are children present.  

She ideally needs a home where she can be walked in quiet areas, and where she will not be exposed to anything that may frighten or overwhelm her. Somewhere she can enjoy free running and lots of exercise!

Because of her separation anxiety, we are looking for a home where there is almost always someone home to keep her company. On the rare occasion she needs to be left home alone, a furry sibling would be a great help. We would hope that this separation anxiety would improve with time and with a consistent routine. 

When out on walk, quiet, stress-free environments are where she thrives and gets her enjoyment. If overwhelmed, she will try to let you know by barking and/or pulling on lead. So, it will be important to avoid situations where this may occur.  

We recommend a home with no children, as she may get overexcited and jump up.
