Nova

Nova has been withdrawn from our training programmes due to a condition known as Renal Dysplasia, an incurable congenital kidney disorder. Nova requires ongoing medical assistance to manage her condition, which causes stunted growth, urinary issues, susceptibility to UTIs, and incontinence. The estimated annual cost for her care is approximately €1,300-€1,500, which includes blood and urine checks, and kidney function scans. She is also on a specialised diet to aid her renal issues, which is €90 per 14kg bag (approximately 8 weeks' worth of food per bag). This does not include Nova’s dog licence, insurance, or other uncovered health cover (e.g. worm/flea). Please note that since Nova’s disorder is pre-existing, this will not be covered by any pet insurance company. 

When it comes to exercising, Nova is capable, but her exercise levels need to be managed due to her joint condition, which is impacted by her stunted growth.
