Employment Vision Project

We are delighted to announce our new Employment Vision Project, which is funded by Pobal.

The aims of the project are to;

  1. Support people who are blind and vision impaired to access meaningful employment; improve their career progression opportunities “in work”; and improve employment outcomes through education and training.

  2. To support potential employers to provide employment for people who are blind and vision impaired.

The project will address the current knowledge, services, and experience gap for employers and employees.

Taking a holistic approach, we hope to facilitate 20 participants throughout the country to address various barriers to employment while implementing individualised plans for each participant to succeed.

We will be engaging with employers and promoting the value and skills of the employees. The funding provided will also facilitate four part-time skilled roles to support the implementation of this project.
