Support people who are blind and vision impaired to access meaningful employment; improve their career progression opportunities “in work”; and improve employment outcomes through education and training.
To support potential employers to provide employment for people who are blind and vision impaired.
The project addresses the current knowledge, services, and experience gap for employers and employees.
Taking a holistic approach, the project facilitates 20 participants throughout the country to address various barriers to employment while implementing plans for each participant to succeed. We will work with you to devise individualised plans to address any needs and to match you with employers.
Along with providing ongoing and career guidance, the Project also provides training in areas such as branding and networking (social media), job searching and application, tailoring CVs, technology, interview support and preparation and mobility and assessments.
We have a number of highly qualified and skilled individuals registered, many educated to degree level, who are currently seeking employment in a variety of sectors including marketing, law, business administration, fitness, hospitality, music performance and composition, broadcasting, customer services, language translation and IT.
