For thirty five years, volunteers have been at the heart of the development, growth and success of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Hundreds of people of all ages and from all walks of life volunteer with us – from supporting us in the breeding and raising of our puppies right through to raising the funds in order to provide our services for persons who are blind or vision impaired and for families of a child with autism.
Whether you have a general desire to volunteer with us and want to learn new skills, or you have a specific set of skills which you feel could benefit our organisation, our aim is to provide you with an opportunity to be a part of what we do.
We are currently offering volunteer opportunities in the following areas:
1. Fundraising - We are looking for volunteers to join our supporter base across the country
2. Puppy Walking - Munster and Leinster (North Dublin, South Dublin and Athlone regions only)
Puppy walkers provide home based care and basic training for our puppies for approx 12 months.
