It's been five years since our last litter of Goldendoodles, so there was much excitement as news of their birth spread through the organisation this week. Sired by yellow Golden Retriever Warner and birthed by black poodle Izzy, eight gorgeous Goldendoodles came into the world on Friday evening a week ago. And the cherry on top is that the last little pup to arrive during the birth is the only yellow pup in the litter.
Izzy and her pups are doing very well and we expect to welcome these gorgeous pups to our National Headquarters and Training Centre at the end of August. By then, they will look quite different to photographs pictured here, having grown a thicker curly-haired coat. There are eight pups in total, 4 black males and 3 black females, and one yellow female as mentioned earlier.
Seen here is Warner, who is cared for by volunteer breeding stock holder, Mary Marron, from Bandon, Co. Cork. Warner was puppy walked by Kathleen and William McCormack from Coolock, Dublin. Izzy is cared for by our very own Breeding Supervisor, Michael Edmonds.
Below is a photo gallery of photographs Michael took of Izzy and her pups a few days after their birth. You'll notice that the photograph featuring the pups suckling off Izzy has a slightly pinkish hue. This is caused by the red lights used to keep Izzy and her pups nice and warm.
