Born and raised in Cork, Evelyn has devoted her time as a Puppy Walker with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind for the past four years.

Evelyn has always been fond of dogs and wanted to help us because of her love for the organisation. Evelyn has puppy walked four dogs and was thrilled when she heard her second dog, Quandro was being matched with a client as a Guide Dog.

“Quandro was one of my favourite dogs. He was absolutely beautiful so I was delighted when I heard he was being matched with a vision impaired person”.

Evelyn’s third dog, Yvette was also matched as a guide dog.

Evelyn currently resides in Rochestown, Cork where she instructs part-time. She has a rescue dog named Max who is a large German Shepherd and is 12 months old. Evelyn’s two teenage daughters love having the dogs which keeps them all very active.

It's through the dedication of puppy walkers like Evelyn that we are able to give our dogs in training an excellent start.
