Donegal Breeding Stock Holder, Emma Stewart-Liberty began volunteering almost ten years ago with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as a way to persuade her husband to get a dog. She has also supported us in the past as a puppy walker and fundraiser.
“It’s an absolute joy to be submersed in a new litter of puppies” says Emma.
Born and raised in Donegal, Emma currently resides in Co. Clare and has a variety of pets. She has two brood bitch guide dogs, one rescued Cavalier, one Tibetan Spaniel (which she recently inherited from her Aunt) and another dog. Emma commented that it’s no surprise she loves them all equally as they are all girls!
Emma spends most of her spare time walking the five dogs as well as painting and gardening. Thanks to Emma’s hard work as a Breeding Stock Holder, Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind has been able to provide quality guide and assistance dogs to our clients. The litter featured in the photograph above were born earlier this year and are currently being puppy walked.
