Department of Education and Science support assistance dogs

On 22 December, Minister for Science and Education, Mr Batt O'Keeffe, paid us a visit at our National Heaquarters and Training Centre and confirmed their donation of €150,000 in support of our Assistance Dog Programme for families of children with autism.

Pictured at the National Headquarters & Training Centre of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind (IGDB) were Noel O’Regan, Chair of the Board of Directors (IGDB), Minister for Education and Science, Batt O’Keeffe, TD and guide dog “Lenny”.
The Minister awarded a once-off grant of €150,000 towards The Assistance Dogs Programme for families of children with Autism.
