Curious Wines, which is run by brothers Michael and Matt Kane, host their third annual Christmas Wine Fair this Friday, December 2nd from 4-8pm and Saturday, December 3rd from 12 -6pm.
The event takes place at their Warehouse located in the Kinsale Road Commercial Centre on the Kinsale Road. Over 100 wines from around the world will be open for sampling during the wine festival.
Tickets cost €10 with all proceeds going to us. Anyone who attends with a Guide Dog, Assistance Dog or Companion Dog will not be charged the entry fee. There is also no charge for volunteer Puppy Walkers who attend with their puppies in training.
Some of Cork’s finest local food producers including Ummera Smoked Products, Castlemary Farm Goats Cheese, Badger and Dodo Boutique Coffee Roasters, Barrie Tyner Pâtés, Fermoy Natural Cheese, Mark’s Cheeses and Una’s Pies will showcase their produce at the event.
Following a very successful Wine Fair last year, Michael expects this year's event to be even better. He said:
"We’ll have scores of wines from around the world open for tasting, including lots of new additions and fine wines, with suppliers from France, Spain and Italy to help out with the pouring and hopefully impart some local wisdom as to what’s in the glass. This event is about promoting local businesses and showing people what they can get on their own doorstep. We are also delighted to be partnering with a national charity that has its headquarters in Cork and we hope to raise as much money as we can during our Christmas Festival”
Special discounts:
During the event there will be special discounts on top of the 100+ seasonal offers already in place. Customers also have a chance to win spot prizes over the two days and enjoy tasty nibbles from local food producers. Tickets are available on the door or places can be booked online at www.curiouswines.ie
