Audio Visual Testimonial from Patricia O' Halloran

Guide Dog Owner, Patricia O'Halloran With approximately 14,000 people registered blind or vision impaired in Ireland, Patricia's story is one that respresents the experience of many others.

"Sunlight is Dazzling" was produced by Damian Drohan, a photograher and multi-media expert (www.damiandrohan.com ). In it, Patricia explains how she always had difficulty with her sight. When she got older, she was diagnosed with Age-related Macular Degeneration.

This is a medical condition which usually affects older adults and results in a loss of vision in the center of the visual field (the macula) because of damage to the retina. In 2010, after years of making do, Patricia was matched with a Guide Dog called Pasha - a working partner she describes as her “absolute friend”.
