The cliffs in the Gap of Dunloe welcomed a large group of enthusiastic Abtran employees set on abseiling a 180ft cliff to raise much needed funds for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. Targetting €25,000 for the training of guide dogs for people who are blind or vision impaired and assistance dogs for families of children with autism, this event kick-started their fundraising efforts.
Some of our staff also took part and are seen here with Abtran's MD, Michael Fitzgerald. From left to right are Catherine Gallagher, Julie Simpson, Ian Freyne and Aileen Foy with Michael up front and centre.
Michael says of the experience, “It was a fantastic day. The excitement, adrenaline and camaraderie amongst everyone involved was inspiring and everyone pulled together in support of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.”
