Charity of the Year
Choosing Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind as your charity of the Year streamlines your charitable committee or social responsibility programme by focusing all efforts on one cause. This partnership programme could include staff fundraising initiatives, corporate donations matched to employee efforts. IGDB can offer support, publicity opportunities, sighted guide training for staff, certificates to place in branches / offices to inform customers, the general public and other charities of your achievements and commitment.
Employee Fundraising
Many of our corporate partners have active social committees who coordinate and organise a series of events throughout the year. Other partners are small companies with an energized team who are just as effective in their fundraising efforts. This can include participation in our SHADES campaign, a cool fundraising event for staff, to parachute jumps, pub quizzes, sponsored cycles or participation in marathon events.
Corporate partnerships that include employee fundraising offer the opportunity to
- enhance employee morale
- provide identification with, and ownership of organisation,
- provide leadership development opportunities for employees and,
- provides exposure to new ideas, points of view, and societal needs.
Sponsorship and gifts-in-kind
Sponsorship is a two-way relationship. Therefore, IGDB provide resources to obtain maximum mutual benefit from such a relationship. We can discuss many options for sponsorship, including campaigns, funding capital projects or gifts in kind. Our team are available to discuss the options and relevance for your organisation.
There are many ways in which you might be able to gain benefit and inspiration from involvement with a Charity, which doesn’t necessarily involve any monetary donation. We can explore with you the potential for gifts of equipment, consumables, time or access to resources.
Recycling Appeal
Everyone knows recycling is good for the environment, but did you know that recycling is also good for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind?
If you use a printer or fax machine, each used cartridge could earn IGDB around €1.50. Each used mobile phone is worth around €7.
Taking part is easy. Simply visit www.recyclingappeal.ie and click the ‘Recycle Now’ button and follow the instructions.
